I have generic power bank made in China  with 6 batteries model uses 18650 type battery. It was fault, couldn't be used, couldn't be charged. I opened the case, and found the problem. It happened because the electric from battery didn't go to the circuit. I looked for the reason, and found there was a broken component, it is like the fuse, or electric limiter. The solution is: I  take a small wire as new component and soldered it to change the function of broken component. See the figure : First I opened the case, remove all the Batteries, and take out the Board (PCB) The broken component is showed in the red circle  , click on the picture to enlarge. Its function is to limit the electric current.

My old Pocket Camera, Sony Cyber-shot had problem with its memory, it won't work at all. and I had to replace the Memory stick Pro Duo with the new one. When I looked for The Memory Stick Pro Duo at the online store, I found that the price is more expensive than the micro SD card, with the same speed and the same capacity. So I can use my micro SD for my Sony camera with this converter. I have no problem with the camera using this converter, Now I can take pictures again with my favorite camera. I have Toshiba laptop  Portege R500, for about 2 years it was Ok and no problem happen. But after 2 years   it had a problem, when turned power on, it took a long time in BIOS ( about 5 minutes) before loading the operating system (Windows). Now the problem is solved. Cause is error in DVD Drive, I have not decided to look for the new DVD drive, i did to disconnect the DVD from the laptop,  it doesn't matter for me without the CD/DVD R-RW drive. If you have the same problem with your Portege R500, maybe this can solve your problem too.

When the computer is turned on, before entering the OS (operating system) it will be handled by the BIOS (Basic Input Output System) first, initialize the existing hardwares, set some basic configurations (date, time, etc.), and then run the OS. BIOS configuration is controled by CMOS (Complementary metal oxide semiconductor) and the configuration will be lost (back to the default setting) when the battery is weak or exhausted. Here is one example of a warning if the BIOS battery is weak /empty/low : Usually we will press F2 to continue, or press F1 to setup. If we press setup (F1) and set the BIOS, then the configuration will be lost again when  the computer  shutdown.
